1. Agreement to Terms
By making a booking and/or using our equipment, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
2. Eligibility
- The person making the booking must be 18 years or older.
- The booking holder is responsible for all members of their party and their compliance with these terms.
3. Booking & Payment
- All bookings must be paid in full at the time of booking.
- Bookings are only confirmed once payment has been received.
- We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any booking at our discretion.
4. Delivery & Collection
- Delivery and collection take place between 08:00 and 10:30 on the first and final day of hire.
- Customers must ensure equipment is accessible for both delivery and collection.
- Failure to provide access may result in additional charges.
5. Use of Equipment
- Equipment must only be used for its intended purpose.
- Use is limited to suitable inland waters within the agreed hire area.
- Equipment must not be used in:
- Strong winds or unsafe weather
- Flood conditions
- Restricted or prohibited waterways
6. Safety
- All activities are undertaken at your own risk.
- Users must be able to swim and be physically capable of using the equipment.
- Children must be supervised at all times.
- The use of buoyancy aids is strongly recommended.
7. Liability Waiver
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Cotswold Paddleboard Company shall not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage sustained during the use of our equipment.
- Customers accept full responsibility for all risks associated with water-based activities.
8. Loss, Damage & Security
- You are fully responsible for the equipment during your hire period.
- Equipment must be kept secure and not left unattended in public or unsecured areas.
- You agree to pay for any loss or damage beyond normal wear and tear.
9. Weather & Conditions
- We reserve the right to cancel or amend bookings in unsafe weather conditions.
- If we cancel, you will be offered a refund or alternative date.
- No refunds will be given for weather conditions deemed safe for use.
10. Cancellations
- Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a charge.

11. Late Returns / Failure to Collect
- Equipment must be available for collection at the agreed time.
- Failure to do so may result in additional charges.
12. Prohibited Use
The following are strictly prohibited:
- Use under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Overloading equipment beyond recommended capacity
- Use by anyone not included in the booking
- Use outside agreed locations
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cotswold Paddleboard Company against any claims, damages, or losses arising from:
- Misuse of equipment
- Breach of these Terms & Conditions
- Injury or damage caused to third parties
14. Force Majeure
We are not liable for failure to perform due to events beyond our control, including extreme weather, natural events, or government restrictions.
15. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
